We approached Stu, Trudi and the team with the challenge of co-creating a cutting-edge flavour laboratory that would fit into A Taste of the Future; our global first interactive, innovation space at Diageo’s World Class Bartender of the Year Global Finals – the biggest bartending competition in the world.

A Taste of the Future was designed to give guests a sneak peek of some of the near future drinks experiences that tap into the hottest trends in culture, and we were not disappointed! Stu and the team at Crucible created an exciting programme of drinks using Diageo’s Reserve brands and a plethora of experimental techniques to extract and showcase delicious flavours. The end result saw our World Class attendees treated to a fantastic live flavour demonstration providing intrigue, excitement and creativity as well as incredible taste experiences over the two days of finals in Glasgow.”


“I always enjoy working with the team at Crucible for their unique approach to project briefs. They helped us deliver the final of our Funkin Innovation Champion bartender competition, where we spent the day educating our finalists whilst challenging them in a fun and relaxed environment.
